Metering skids perform different activities including its main purpose of measuring the liquid or gas product’s output through it. Being on the structural framework and support of the skid facilitate for the off the plant fabrication to the specifications and assembling on the site. The various components also help it perform additional duties of pressure reduction, flow control, and filtration according to the requirements. It is a key component of the plant allowing to measure the products according to volume based or mass-based flow rates.

Metering skids performs the all-important duty of custody transfer of the products and having a financial value or estimate for that transaction. The metering skids are composed of parts such as the pipe networks, the process equipment, instrumentation like a control valve, actuators, transmitters, etc., electrical feed & cablings, interfacing to the main plant, local control elements like panels, PLC, etc. As the main delivery system, it a vital component which has to perform to highest standards to ensure satisfactory results for both the provider and receiver.
